Recall from an earlier post that Bullshift Number Three is the belief that you should not ask for more than your fair share in life because there isn’t enough to go around.

This belief stems from the fact that somehow along the way, living a life of sacrifice, lack, and limitation has become noble. It’s as if sacrifice has mistakenly gotten confused with sharing or generosity. To dream big and want abundance in our lives is perceived as selfish and greedy. Bullshift again! Nothing could be further from the truth.

Turns out, abundance is our birthright, and creating as much abundance in our lives is in line with the very highest level of universal consciousness. The universe wants you to be abundant, wants each of us to be abundant, and then share our abundance with our families, relatives, friends, societies, and the world! The more abundant you are, the more you have to give and share with others. Sacrifice and limitation regress humankind. Abundance makes the world flourish!

Universal Truth 3: Infinite resources are at your command.

I grew up in a loving home with two of the kindest and most supportive parents ever. Both of my parents grew up poor, though my mother was deeply poor. When I say “deeply poor,” I’m talking about no bathroom or hot water inside of the two-bedroom apartment she shared with her four brothers and mother. When my mother was just seven years old, my grandfather died, suddenly forcing my grandmother, my Babci as she was fondly called, to go to work in the factory. My mom, being the only girl, was charged with playing “mom” for her four older brothers. My mom grew up during a time when women didn’t speak up, didn’t really have their own voices. So when she later became a mom of two daughters, she was determined that her girls would be strong, independent women.

But while my sister and I were taught that we could achieve anything we wanted, remnants from my parents’ deprived upbringing also crept into their teachings. We were taught not to take more than our fair share, and to be content with what we had because naturally, they believed that we lived in a world of scarcity that lacked resources. This mentality was always confusing to me. I was an overachiever by nature, and when I hit one milestone, I would naturally want to set new goals, new heights to reach. But often my mom viewed this as not being content with what I had. Why did I have to keep reaching, keep climbing? She seemed to think that once I had reached my goal, I should remain there and be happy—because there were finite resources available. Why take or ask for more than my share?

The answer? Abundance. This was the one word that would forever alter the state of my perception. It is one of the most powerful and transformative words I know. It turns out that we live in a world full of abundance! Not only that, but abundance is actually our birthright, and it is up to us to create and ask for as much abundance as we want. Period. Without explanation. Without justification. Without feelings of guilt or apology. Every single human being that has ever walked this planet—or will walk the planet—can create as much abundance in his or her life as she chooses. When you can truly grasp that concept, your life will be changed forever too. Can you fathom how freeing this realization actually is?

Shifting to a mindset of abundance takes work, but it can be done, and I will show you exactly how to do it. It starts with believing, truly believing, that the universe—the Creator, God, or whatever you want to call it—is one of affluence and prosperity. The more abundant each of us is, the more abundance we create for the world. The more abundant the world becomes, the more we have to give and share with the world.

As Deepak Chopra so eloquently says, “We are privileged children, and the universe has chosen to share its bounty with us.” It is up to each of us to create as much abundance as our hearts desire. We can each live in a state as affluent and as prosperous as we want. Our abundance has nothing to do with the abundance of others, and theirs has nothing to do with ours. The universe keeps creating again and again. We have only to put our attention on abundance, and it will be ours.

And just like that we busted three of Life’s 5 Biggest Bullshifts and replaced them with new Universal Truths, the truths that will become the foundation on which you build your abundant life. I am so excited for you and for all that is to come.

Until next time my friends.

Sending much love and gratitude from me to you.

Cheers,

MSG
